Haven’t been on the road for about a month, what am I doing? Working, I have to make money once in a while. Last year I was at a YMCA camp in Lakeville, creating a premier camp in the Twin Cities area. I’ll still do some work for them out there, but the director left and went to YMCA camp Pepin in Stockholm Wisconsin, I followed him here. Now the goal is to make this a premier camp in the area. It’s a relatively small camp that has not been all that well maintained the last few years. The past few weeks have been cleaning, clearing brush, removing trees, building carpet ball tables, building a zip line – just spiffing up camp for the summer. The next couple weeks will be working with 5th graders in the outdoor education program.

I live in an awesome house with a view of Lake Pepin on a relatively secluded road on Deer Island, I am thoroughly enjoying myself, even though the nearest disc golf course is a crappy nine holer in either Wabasha or Red wing, it’s at least an hour drive to Hastings, Menomonie, or Eau Claire for the nearest good courses. I haven’t been playing much these days, mostly only weekends in tournaments, the lack of practice has shown, each tournament I play poorer and poorer. The MN Amateur Championships this past weekend gave one of my worst rounds in a long time.
